King Kofári

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

King Kofári

Kofári the Unifier — The Sun King

Known for: Uniting the Seven Kingdoms beneath the Sun Throne, and holding them there for twenty-three years.

He did not conquer the Seven into one — or not only. He married them: seven queens, seven crowns, and a generation of children who would be walking treaties. He ate alone by design, because distance preserved the difference between a man and a king.

“He carried the empire like armor — heavy, but necessary.”

Queen Makena

Queen Makena

Makena the Quiet Crown

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

Queen Makena

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

Queen Makena

Makena the Quiet Crown

Known for: Sustaining an empire through balance and timing — healer before she was queen, and healer still.

She holds together in unrecorded rooms what her husband forged in war. She reads a court the way she reads a wound: by what it will not let her touch.

She has cleaned the same crown for twenty-three years. In all that time it had only ever been metal — and then, one night, it was not.

“The strongest crowns are often carried in silence.”

Prince Kofáni

Prince Kofáni

The Weight-Bearer

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

Prince Kofáni

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

Prince Kofáni

The Weight-Bearer

Known for: First Heir of the Sun Throne — and a crown he refused to put on when it would have been easier.

Bonded before he could stand: cub and infant found together too often for anyone to keep separating them. He fights the way his father fought — giving ground until a stronger man has spent everything on ground that does not matter.

“Some men wear crowns. Others carry them.”

Prince Ashkur

Prince Ashkur

Ashkur the Lion's Spear

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

Prince Ashkur

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

Prince Ashkur

Ashkur the Lion's Spear

Known for: Commanding the Lion armies — and refusing, publicly, to kneel to his own brother.

Born to a woman his father loved and did not marry, he was told at six, in a corridor, in about forty words. Princes were asked things. Ashkur was assigned them, and became extremely good at it, because that was the only reply available.

He did not refuse to kneel to weaken Kofáni. He refused so the Seven would have to choose him rather than merely follow him. Fear breaks the moment it is tested.

“Where the Lion marches, Ashkur stands first.”

Prince Koránu

Prince Koránu

Koránu the Lion's Fire

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

Prince Koránu

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

Prince Koránu

Koránu the Lion's Fire

Known for: Embodying the fierce spirit of the Lion bloodline.

Raised among generals, he learned that hesitation costs lives and has spent his life proving it in the one arena where the lesson is sometimes wrong. He screamed once as a boy, over a lizard, and decided no room would ever hear him lose control again.

“A lion that hesitates invites the hunt.”

Princess Amani

Princess Amani

Amani the Listening Mind

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

Princess Amani

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

Princess Amani

Amani the Listening Mind

Known for: Princess of the Lion Dynasty.

Nobody watches the princess. She stopped taking that as an insult at fifteen and started taking it as an instrument. She counts with her left hand and keeps a ledger no one has read.

What she wants is not to be believed — that is only a matter of assembling enough. What she wants is to be known. Once. Without having to prove it first.

“The loudest voices rarely control the room.”

Prince Razi

Prince Razi

Razi the Small Witness

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

Prince Razi

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

Prince Razi

Razi the Small Witness

Known for: Recording the fracture of the empire — and holding something true about nearly everyone in the palace.

Twelve years old and holding no command, he collects what others discard: hesitations, omissions, the half-second before a room decides.

His father charged him to get the history right before the tellings made him taller. Nobody appointed Razi the record. He appointed himself.

“Children hear what kings forget.”

General Makaru

General Makaru

Makaru the War Pillar — The Lion's Wall

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

General Makaru

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

General Makaru

Makaru the War Pillar — The Lion's Wall

Known for: Commanding the armies that secured the empire, and reading a field the way another man reads a page.

He does not look at his own army before a battle. He looks at the sky, the ground, and a bird that went up early and has not come back down.

“A kingdom survives on courage. An empire survives on discipline.”

General Sàhira Nombé

General Sàhira Nombé

Commander of the Sun Veil

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

General Sàhira Nombé

Ūsángà wà Kofári — The Lion Kingdom

General Sàhira Nombé

Commander of the Sun Veil

Known for: Leading the order of disciplined women bonded to war lionesses.

They say she survived forty days alone in the Hyena forest as a child, and swam the Makor in flood to carry a warning. She has never corrected the stories and never confirmed them. Belief marches better than truth.

“If the reports are true — nothing that still remembers being hunted.”

The Elephant Kingdom

Queen Nàyámbé

Queen Nàyámbé

Nàyámbé the Keeper of Memory

Nàyámbé-Tárà — The Elephant Kingdom

Queen Nàyámbé

Nàyámbé-Tárà — The Elephant Kingdom

Queen Nàyámbé

Nàyámbé the Keeper of Memory

Known for: Guarding the memory of the Seven — including an account the empire would rather was forgotten.

Her rulings are slow because a fast ruling is one that will need to be made again. Her court remembers everything, especially what others would prefer it did not.

She has kept her hands perfectly still for twenty-three years. That is not serenity. It is containment, held so long it has become the visible personality.

“An empire that forgets its past will one day forget how to stand.”

Prince Támari

Prince Támari

Támari the Remembering Prince

Nàyámbé-Tárà — The Elephant Kingdom

Prince Támari

Nàyámbé-Tárà — The Elephant Kingdom

Prince Támari

Támari the Remembering Prince

Known for: Preserving the living history of K'Thari.

Told by a girl of eleven that her father was under the middle store, he knelt, asked the man’s name, then hers, and told her to stay at his shoulder because she would know his voice and he would not.

“The future belongs to those who remember the past.”

The Crocodile Kingdom

Queen Rékira

Queen Rékira

Rékira of Still Waters

Mákòndaré — The Crocodile Kingdom

Mákòndaré — The Crocodile Kingdom

Queen Rékira

Rékira of Still Waters

Known for: Governing the waterways — and arriving barefoot and unannounced with a warning the Lion court did not want.

She came at dusk on a raised platform, riding a wind that smelled of wet stone, and the gates opened without anyone giving the order. She knelt — not in submission but acknowledgement — and told a king the Oracle was dead, because the river had felt her heart stop.

“The river does not rush. It arrives.”

The Leopard Kingdom

Queen Ìlayé

Queen Ìlayé

Ìlayé the Hidden Crown

Sényà-Nórù — The Leopard Kingdom

Queen Ìlayé

Sényà-Nórù — The Leopard Kingdom

Queen Ìlayé

Ìlayé the Hidden Crown

Known for: Mastering silent power.

Her kingdom does not march; it moves individuals, and its reach is considerably longer than its borders. She arrives without being seen.

“The quiet step is the one that reaches the throat.”

Princess Veyara

Princess Veyara

Veyara of the Hidden Crown

Sényà-Nórù — The Leopard Kingdom

Princess Veyara

Sényà-Nórù — The Leopard Kingdom

Princess Veyara

Veyara of the Hidden Crown

Known for: Representing the Leopard in the imperial courts — and watching the gaps between the torches rather than the torches.

She grew up alongside the Lion heirs, running from the palace and being dragged back, and there is a day in the fields that neither she nor Kofáni has ever mentioned aloud.

“The unseen hand moves the throne.”

The Gorilla Kingdom

Queen Mbáruka

Queen Mbáruka

Mbáruka the Mountain Matriarch

Mbárù-Kéntà — The Gorilla Kingdom

Queen Mbáruka

Mbárù-Kéntà — The Gorilla Kingdom

Queen Mbáruka

Mbáruka the Mountain Matriarch

Known for: Preserving the discipline of the mountain clans.

For more than twenty years the Unifier came four times a year, and the Seven believed it was an affair. She let them.

“Storms break against the mountain long before the mountain notices them.”

Prince Thúramba

Prince Thúramba

Thúramba the Ironback Prince

Mbárù-Kéntà — The Gorilla Kingdom

Prince Thúramba

Mbárù-Kéntà — The Gorilla Kingdom

Prince Thúramba

Thúramba the Ironback Prince

Known for: Commanding the Ironbacks.

Volatile and contemptuous of courts. He lost his first bonded gorilla beyond the mountains and was told the kingdom had chosen peace instead of vengeance. He has never forgiven it.

“Stone can stand forever. But fire reshapes the mountain.”

The Serpent Kingdom

Queen Selin

Queen Selin

The Serpent Queen

Bákungà — The Serpent Kingdom

Queen Selin

Bákungà — The Serpent Kingdom

Queen Selin

The Serpent Queen

Known for: Ruling through information and traded truth.

Bákungà does not rule land. It rules information: messages that move unseen, alliances formed in silence. She is rarely seen using any of it.

“Wars are not won on battlefields. They are decided before them.”

The Hyena Territories

Queen Vékhara

Queen Vékhara

The Seventh of the Seven

Zákhàrà-Vé — The Hyena Territories

Zákhàrà-Vé — The Hyena Territories

Queen Vékhara

The Seventh of the Seven

Known for: Sitting a foot outside the circle for twenty-three years.

A herbalist who once saved the Unifier’s life and has not seen her homeland since.

“We both knew what it was on the day we made it.”

Zákhara Daro

Zákhara Daro

The Bone Strategist

Zákhàrà-Vé — The Hyena Territories

Zákhara Daro

Zákhàrà-Vé — The Hyena Territories

Zákhara Daro

The Bone Strategist

Known for: War Advisor of the Devouring Lands.

He carries a scar given him by Kofári — not in humiliation, in mercy, which cut deeper than iron. He burns supply routes in kingdoms that are not his, because a frightened kingdom looks sideways rather than outward.

“Bring me smoke. Not glory.”

Beyond the Seven

Prince Zahír al-Kharim

Prince Zahír al-Kharim

Zahír of the Endless Horizon

The Desert Kingdom — beyond K'Thari

Prince Zahír al-Kharim

The Desert Kingdom — beyond K'Thari

Prince Zahír al-Kharim

Zahír of the Endless Horizon

Known for: Heir of Al-Kharim — balancing the desert against the politics of the Seven.

Raised where survival demands timing and respect for forces beyond control, he does not seek dominance. He studies it. He climbed the Sun Steps with a white lion at his side and silenced a plaza that had dismissed the traders’ stories as exaggeration.

“The desert teaches patience to those who wish to survive.”

The Oracle

The Oracle

The Voice Beneath the Stars

K'Thari-Úmbrà — The Secret Land

The Oracle

K'Thari-Úmbrà — The Secret Land

The Oracle

The Voice Beneath the Stars

Known for: Speaking the prophecy that opened the age.

She was older than living memory, had not stood in years, and had not screamed since the first crown was forged. She screamed at the end, and not from pain.

“The stars do not warn. They remember.”

Álira

Álira

The Blind Listener

No court claims her

No court claims her

Álira

The Blind Listener

Known for: Appearing wherever the future shifts.

Guards step aside without deciding to. She was at the Star Temple when the Oracle cooled, and at the palace well the day the Unifier did not wake, washing hands that bore no stain.

“They will want it shorter. Do not give it to them shorter.”

Meet them on the page

Their stories unfold in Blood of the Seven.
